Hope I've got the description right - its a bit of a mouthful and to describe what Gavin actually does is very difficult, so I have made available some downloadable rtf files where he describes it himself!
What I can say is that much of the time it seems he is doing very little, but the reaction of my ponies, from the ageing laid back Portia to the very suspicious "is he a vet" attitude of Dragon, was quite noticeable. They both soon stood very relaxed and with their heads hanging, almost asleep in fact, not something Dragon is noted for when there is a stranger about!
I have tried several times to book another visit, but it seems impossible as he is stretched with his work around the UK and some overseas - Scotland, it appears, is too far and while a group of us tried for some time to arrange a second visit tour to a number of places, or offered to congregate in one place for ease of treatment, we managed to be the losing side of a double booking, and that was the last we heard of it. However, we have not given up all hope, and I very much wish that we can maybe arrange a clinic up here in 2001.
Now, for the scientific details, try viewing the paper and leaflet linked below, and if you want to try it yourself please use details off the contact/order form also linked. Thanks to Liz Deen-Sly for all information leaflets, supplied some time ago so some details/prices may have changed.
