Intranet Services
Purpose
SOMIS runs the main Intranet of the University of Dundee. It was setup to provide information primarily to senior members of staff,
but as it has evolved it now contains information that is relevant to all members of staff. Moreover it has a large number of files which are
available to the WWW.
Security and How to Join
There is a separate page explaining the different levels of security.
Do you need your own Intranet?
It is possible to set up a number of separate intranets. If SOMIS hosts your pages and you need your own intranet, get in touch with me.
If you have your pages on Duxweb, there has been good progress made and you should be able to set up protected directories. Talk to
Rebecca Linford, University Web Administrator.
